Wubuntu at University
Greetings friends and followers!

It has been a while since I last wrote on this channel - it has been a fruitful year for us. Let us quickly recap on our highlights at universities in Hong Kong!

Wubuntu is invited to join a afternoon tea thanksgiving session to meet with our collaborators and students. Whilst being thankful to what the university has provided to their students on the topic of career development and personal growth, it is truly a great honour and pleasure to become a long-term partner with the Office of Student Affairs at Chinese University of Hong Kong. We are working closely with Chinese University of Hong Kong offering career development and service learning opportunities, as well as intercultural engagements to further enhance students’ intercultural communication skills and experiences.

Along the academic year of 2024/25, we were invited to join a few career-themed exhibitions at university campuses, sharing our programmes and opportunities to develop skills and apply knowledge in Africa! While most of our past encounters with students were conducted online (because of the pandemic), it is nice to finally see schools are resuming face-to-face activities to a full extent, meeting students in person and interacting with them are truly enjoyable. Despite technology advancement, we believe that person-to-person interactions and connections are irreplaceable, and through our programmes advocating intercultural communications, we have a vision to bring cultures and youth of Africa and Asia together, to inspire and connect youths for collaborative development in Africa and Asia.
Sharing sessions on entrepreneurship and intercultural engagements

Wubuntu being a startup promoting intercultural engagements between Africa and Asia, is invited by the entrepreneurship team at Hong Kong Baptist University to share our experience operating as a startup and our work of intercultural empowerment. Wonderful to see so many students interested in realising their visions through founding a startup and asking down-to-earth operational questions, I believe the session would be insightful and informational to most of our participants. Wish them all a successful career!
