For years Wubuntu is on the mission to drive intercultural empowerment through youth engagements. It is to our utmost joy to write and share what we have been achieving in helping our local communities through our different community programmes.

2025 Programme: School and children based services
Our 2025 programme is brought to the theme of school and child services, supported by the local-serving NGOs Chrysalis Academy and Oribi, where they offered valuable opportunities for our students from The Chinese University of Hong Kong to experience and service local youths in different areas where assistance is critically needed.
19 young bright minds from Hong Kong, with the mission to develop their leadership qualities and serving local communities has committed themselves in a two-weeks, intensive service programme, where they set foot in many underserved communities in Cape Town. Where they planned many meaningful engagments with the local communities, helping community development by joining hands-on work.
2024 Programme: Community based services
The 2024 programme encompasses a range of community services and outreach, supported by our Heideveld based partner Great Commission United (GCU), offering plenty of engagements with the local members of Heideveld.
Through the two weeks stay inside the Heideveld community, our students have exposed and experienced plenty of the daily challenges faced by the people of Heideveld, community safety, lacking of social support, and to some extreme extend, hunger. Which sparked a deep reflection among our participants, of the meaning of community and unity.
Our team engaged in dynamic workshops, community-driven projects, and cultural exchanges that bridged continents and ideas. Together, we explored how youth solutions can uplift underserved communities while deepening cross-cultural understanding and collaboration. 💡
This initiative reminds us that when academia, social enterprises, and grassroots organizations unite, the impact is limitless. We’re excited to see the seeds planted here grow into lasting partnerships and innovations! 🌟
